I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of my visitors for their support and encouragement after my banning from the FailedMessiah blog (no link). You can find the story of my banning, due to the crime of expressing my opinions and my willingness to openly share information, in my first two posts.
It’s not a crime at this blog. And I would like to ask readers to suggest other news sites and blogs that dare to focus on Jewish issues similar to those that were featured at the old site. Relevant sites will be compiled into a list of resources that readers can search for stories affecting the Jewish world.
It’s my belief that reputations (including that of the Jewish world) are best preserved by regularly identifying problems, maintenance, and repair with definite and open action. Not by hiding despicable and embarrassing behavior in a dark closet while arrogantly believing that one is ‘speaking to what Hashem wants’. If Hashem stands for anything, it’s TRUTH.
It’s unfortunate but true. FM is dead. They banned me too for pointing out their inadequacies (as well as their lack of education)
The King is Dead…..Long live Chafraud!

I’m sorry to hear about your banning, H. I’m sure there will be plenty more to follow.
The new FM owners seem to have a very thin skin.
Losing Shmarya was a major loss for us and no single person will be able to do it the way he did.
He put his whole life into it. I can’t do that, and there are not many willing to do so.
I’ll do whatever I can. But, no doubt, it will take many blogs to continue the job that Shmarya did single-handedly. I hope others appear soon and that we can network the sites.

I’ll be more than glad to spend some time sourcing stuff from this side of the pond. Let us know when you get the hang of this blogging – maybe email Shmarya for some tips :-)

Thank you for the offer. I wish I had a contact email for SR, or even better a contact number.
But I think I have a working form now:
I hope it works.
edit: There should also be a link to it in the right sidebar under my list of alternative sites.

I wish you much success in your new endeavor. Have you figured out yet how readers can contact you via e-mail to send you news tips?

Thank you, Kosher Ham.
WordPress offers a contact form widget which I am still trying to figure out.
I am also considering a new email account specifically for my “tipline” and contact form which is not the same as the address I used to create the blog. Just an added safety measure for myself and those wanting to submit information to the CD blog.

You might also want to consider incorporating and transferring all this to the corporation. This way, a corporation can go bankrupt without you losing any shekels to plaintiffs of means, like that spineless Rechnitz, who just want to send their attack dog lawyers to wear you down financially. It’s no secret that it *MUST* be Rechnitz & maybe someone else in the Midwest(?) FM never posted a thing about Rabbi Belsky’s death. My money on the other miscreant would be Joseph Meystel, since the Rav that koshered his immoral behaviour is none other than the Noviminsker’s brother-in-law, the vile Rabbi Eichenstein. Joseph Meystel was kiciked out ot both Rochester & South Bend Yeshivas for atrocious immoral behaviour as a dorm counselor at both yeshivas. He is now a gvir in Chicago where he owns nursing homes. This is only speculation of course.

CD- Shmarya’s contact details are still as per the ones on FM they are failed.messiah@comcast .net
This is his personal address, so I’m sure he’ll be happy to hear from you and even happier to see that you’ve taken up the mantle.

Good to have a site where we can express out thoughts without being censored

If FM were still open, I would quote this great comment from YWN’s Coffee Room:
“As an aside, I find it despicable that when it comes to exposing bad behavior – molesters and other serious offenses, people suddenly are concerned about the “lashon hara” aspect. When a store suddenly loses hechsher, which is sometimes only caused by non-payment or getting a different agency, there is no fear of taking out FULL PAGE ads in several newspapers to inform the public. WOW! Talk about mistaken priorities!”
I agree with him completely as I suspect most here would as well.

Great site! Thanks for creating it. I’m aware of a couple sites that might be of interest with some of their articles. The sites focus on academic biblical criticism of Torah, Talmud, and include articles on past and current rabbinical censorship of traditional Jewish teachings, etc. The sites are UncensoredJudaism.com and Thetorah.com.
