Chabad… again.
Via nbcmiami.com:
A teacher was arrested and accused of inappropriately touching students at a school in Miami Gardens.
Yosef Benita, a teacher at Lubavitch Educational Center, turned himself in Wednesday and appeared in bond court hearing Thursday.
At the hearing, a detective testified that a 10-year-old student came forward in March saying 33-year-old Benita touched him in his genital area while he was a tutor in the school’s resource center.
A second victim — a 10-year-old with special needs— also told child services that the same thing happened to him.
Benita faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child.
Chabad has a long history of child molestation within its ranks. Examples are plentiful. It happens with unfortunate regularity. And Chabad frequently sweeps child sexual abuse cases ‘under the rug’ so the abusers never face justice.
That the children were described as “special needs” leads me to ask if this was under Chabad’s so-called “Friendship Circle” scheme?

Ignorant BT’s don’t even know this ugly aspect of Chabad exists. They’re oblivious to Chabad’s crimes and coverups. And their local rabbi running a Chabad House wants to keep it that way.

Disgusting stuff! Sorry you haven’t heard from me for a while Rev. I was looking after my best friend who died of pancreatic cancer on Good Friday. Another of my friends died on Good Friday aged 45 in 2004 from pancreatic cancer . Maybe they both were hoping to be resurrected.
Actually it was a very upsetting time & I’m not making light of it, but it is extra-ordinary both died on GF & both were irreligious . Pancreatic cancer is ghastly. Unfortunately we have reached the age where losing friends seems to overtake making new ones.
Life goes on as normal here, we have no coronavirus in the community. It is quite hard to imagine the suffering of those in countries like India where the virus is rampant. My daughter is in Switzerland & it’s quite bad there . Serbia has had a lot of cases, almost 690,000 & 6323 deaths , Switzerland a similar number & over 10,600 deaths. We have had 25 deaths in total, all down to brilliant management by our government & scientists ! This month I am having my first Pfizer jab. I hope you have avoided getting infected.
What have you been up to?
Cheers,Stephanie

Hi Shayna, I’m sorry to reply so late, and much more so for your losses. It’s a horrible and vicious disease that has taken loved ones from me too.
It’s great to hear that you’re doing well through the pandemic. The United States weren’t very “united” when it cam to dealing with coronavirus. Fortunately, my immediate family has been safe and unaffected by it. A couple of relatives who were infected had minimal symptoms if any.
So, what I’m doing these days is counting my blessings. We’ve dropped religion completely, but still do couple of rituals for cultural flavor. They’re cute and familiar, even if we find them devoid of spirituality. Kashrut and all other associated religious expenses… gone. Religious time constraints and inconveniences… gone. Haredi/hasidic con-men who can never quench their thirst for money… gone. Our kids are all in public schools now, learning a lot more, and loving it. The world has truly opened up for them. Our happiness levels are comparatively off the charts, and the family is in unanimous agreement that getting away from the Chabad cult and religious Judaism made all the difference. It’s something for which we are grateful daily. No doubt, our relationship to God and approach to spirituality is better without religion. (We’re on such good terms that I don’t even have to hyphenate It’s name -lol.)
And if Chabad ever found out the magnitude of which our financial situation has changed, they’d be crawling up my ass for a smooch and calling me “tzadik.”
It’s always nice to hear from you, but forgive me if I don’t respond quickly. I don’t blog here much because dwelling on the never-ending stream of Chabad crimes and cult behavior is depressing.
And it really is never-ending.
Here’s a nutty Chabad rabbi who is bad for Chabad’s public relations image (though he really doesn’t deviate much from Chabad’s actual position):
https://bigleaguepolitics.com/rabbi-offers-religious-vaccine-exemptions-for-all-faiths-to-avoid-experimental-covid-19-shots/
And he really is just batshit crazy:

And another criminal sentenced in the Chabad Poway scandal:
https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/la-jolla-man-sentenced-for-tax-evasion-scheme-with-former-chabad-of-poway-rabbi/2624722/
All recent. And all ‘run of the mill’ for Chabad.
So I just leave this up for Chabad’s unsuspecting “balei teshuva” chumps and victims as a warning sign – blog entries few and far-between .

There are rotten apples in every barrel. You can’t judge a whole religion by a few wayward Jews. Rabbis are human beings and they are also susceptible to temptation, at times. Just like any other human being. Why are you so shocked that there can be a rabbi who sins? Did you think that rabbis are angels?

There is nothing shocking about a Chabad rabbi who:
launders money, engages in excessive alcoholism, commits lies of commission and lies of omission, tramples the rights of others because he feels privileged and elite, pretends to be needy while he stockpiles money, molests children, wiggles into the wills of the elderly and unsuspecting, treats non-Jews as non-human, worships a dead Rebbe, engages in misogyny, engages in racism, places his desire for wealth before the basic survival needs of a community, hides his financial status and conceals his books, offers misguidance while pretending to be a qualified doctor/therapist or other professional, cheats the government and society with abuse of tax laws, misuses government grants, covers up the crimes of his fellow born-Lubavitch cult members, treats money made through crime as kosher, or makes the Torah look as binding as a roll of toilet paper.
I’m sure I’ve missed some. It’s only shocking when one is ignorant. And since I’m not an ignorant baal tshuvah anymore, I’m not shocked.
Also, I’m not judging a whole religion. The point is that this is not unusual in Chabad (which, in a way, is it’s own religion). And it’s worse than criminal. It’s criminal with false piety, a deceptive righteous costume, in a sub-culture that has a tendency to cover-up the crime. How screwed up is that?
If you loved Judaism, you’d be outraged by this story merely for the damage it causes to how others perceive Judaism.

Just to clarify: My comment above was not meant specifically for this article. The actions by the person in this article is reprehensible and in no way defensible, at all. I was only making the comment after reading a few of the articles on this site and reading how you mentioned that you used to be close to chabad and now your children are in public school.

Yes, my children are in public school. They get far better education, have enthusiasm for learning, and enjoy the vast amount of subjects and resources available to them. Their happiness levels are high. They love life. And they are grateful to God for the lives they have. Added bonus: Our family has a lot more money to enjoy.
They would never return to yeshiva, and would suffer great depression if forced to return there.
If you are who I think you are (A Yid), your son would have been better off in a public school too; where programs are available, and tailored, for children needing extra attention.
