Chabad’s Beis Rivkah teacher’s strike has expanded from 1st-3rd grades to also include 4th-7th grades.  The schoolBeis-Rivka administration and board (board of what – not specified) accuse each other of causing their failure to pay teachers.  This latest round of bickering has resulted in a near standstill in the pursuit of a resolution.  While the administration and ‘board’ accomplish nothing, teachers in grades 1st-3rd have walked off the job with 10 back-payments going back into 2016 owed to them.  They have been on strike since late March.  Demands by the teachers to be paid by the end of the Pesach (Passover) holiday were not met.  Earlier this week the strike expanded to 4th-7th grade teachers, indicating the school has a greater debt, affecting more teachers than previously reported.

This has left many young children out of a controlled school environment, and has required some dedicated teachers to teach in their private homes.  In an April 19, 2017 story on the continuing teacher’s strike, shows the hardships students are enduring while the school fails to provide teachers their ten back payrolls.  These students pictured below involuntarily traded their secure schoolroom desks and chairs for a publicly accessible street-side lawn.

In a series of articles, they offer publicly issued emails from the teachers and responses from the board.  I will document the releases chronologically in an upcoming post.  However, those exchanges really offer no answers to how it is that Chabad’s Bais Rivkah yeshiva has failed its students so miserably.

Many in and near the Chabad Crown Heights community are asking where the money designated for teachers has gone?  Also, with all of the wealthy Chabad families, worldwide, why is nobody stepping up to pay these teachers and get the kids safely back into school?  The author(s) at FrumFraud pose that question in a very direct, name-laden inquiry:

FF    there are so many questions about what is going on    there.   In Crown heights there are at least  50 people worth ten million or more

where are the malamuds   drizins  kotlarsky krinsky  plotkin chein  gutnick  junik jacobson    and others  to deal with this crisis?????

Comments under the latest story on the strike express a growing distrust of those running the school. Some frustrated community members wrote:

    1) who voted in this bogus board and what legal power did they have to do so?

    2) our power was questioned so we chose to withold checks from teachers and put thousands of kids and parents in an unfathomable situation

This board, and the sole person they represent are reprehensible.

Other comments make allegations that imply a higher degree of mishandling of funds:

But comments like these likely sum up the worst of it:

I saw so many little girls around Crown Heights today, some wearing their uniforms. This is the real tragedy. How can these corrupt stupid men sleep at night?
My daughter who graduated from BCM sends her daughters and granddaughter else. What does that say?
